While I read a whole lot more than this, but these are the only links I’ve bothered to capture here.

Communal Icelandic shower traditions by Hildur Knútsdóttir. It’s what you get for following an Icelandic person, but it’s an interesting read. When I went to Finland as a kid, it was pretty sus having to jump in the sauna naked with other naked men, but I guess it helps expose people to different types of bodies rather than what you see on media.
I think Australia(??) said that the only naked bodies [teenagers] had seen was their own and bodies they saw in movies and media (which probably includes porn). And … I can‘t really imagine what that must do to their self image. If that is the only thing they have to compare their bodies with. How must they feel about themselves? At least here in Iceland, children see all kinds of normal, naked bodies, in all stages of life.
Modern Day Oracles or Bullshit Machines. I noticed that this came from Carl T. Bergstrom and Jevin D. West who made the course (and subsequent book) Calling Bullshit. I haven’t started going through it yet but I’m sure it’ll be worth a read.
Lazy load third-party resources with facades—LMAO, Google says don’t use the YouTube embeds (or any other first part one) and use a third-party, lazy-loading one instead. I already do this, but I hope bigger sites do so as well. The ultimate dream is for the embed providers themselves to make a more performant embed to begin with.
All About Berlin is a handy guide on how to move to the city. My main worry is how expensive it’s getting but whatever. I guess it complements the site Make IT In Germany very well.
Modern web design masterclasses: Interest identification, interception and correction through video (IIICTV) in all seriousness, I really hate it when websites try to shove video down your face. If I wanted to watch a video, I’d click play or go on YouTube. It’s so bad I literally blackhole all the video CDNs on my blocker so they don’t load.
NirSoft has many useful Windows utilities I found it from a thiojoe video. Remember him?
Zen Browser which I saw on YouTube. Based on Firefox I should try it since it’s so sexy!

- Factory Jobs Are Tough AF… Why Do We Want Them Back So Badly?. It’s all some are capable of doing and people yearn for the life that used to come with said jobs. Thing is the jobs themselves sucks and the life that came with them came from union and worker protections rather than the job itself. He referenced a book which covers this that I should read.
Play Video: Factory Jobs Are Tough AF... Why Do We Want Them Back So Badly? - REVEALED: This System KILLS in 39 Seconds and Nothing is Being DONE!. Pretty cool that the 737 Max’s engine (technically the family of engines, the CFM LEAP 1, used by the A320neo and the COMAC C919) has an undocumented feature which though sensible has catastrophic consequences, like chucking oil into the cabin when it fails. Worse still regulators don’t wanna do anything about it and Mentour here had to find leaked memos and whistleblowers to talk about it. Very cool.
