Cream Soda Can Be Clear?

Cream soda is a loveely drink. Here in Zimbabwe (and Southern Africa), it’s sold under the Sparletta brand and is coloured green. Anything flavoured cream soda is green here. Imagine my shock when I went to the US and discovered that their version of cream soda is clear. Like WTF?

The uniqueness of our green cream soda was made more clear when I went to the Coca Cola Museum in Atlanta. There they have a drink sampling section and when you get to Africa, you find the lovely green cream soda labelled under Zimbabwe. It’s as if you grew up with Crystal Pepsi being regular Pepsi and seeing that it’s actually brown in other places.
